How long does the post office hold your package?

I had a package sent to a friends PO box because I'm from canada and it was a lot cheaper shipping. He goes to get mail every two weeks and I'm sure my package is too big and they'll keep it at the post office. Will my package still be there?? How long do they hold it?? Btw it was priority mail if that means anything

2. The post office is very professional when it comes to package holding. They will indeed hold his package until he comes.
3. Why does he go to the post office? They'd be more than happy to deliver your large package to his back door. Just tell him to make an appointment.
4. I know the thought of a big package being out there and floating in the hands of other people is a bit scary but I think that your package is nice and snug and warm and waiting for your friend to come. It must be a big package if it won't fit into your friend's box!
5. My package is usually priority too. I, unfortunately, always finish my business in a relatively short time. You might want to have your friend call them and ask.
