Does the Daily Mail newspaper lie a lot and get away with it?

I have asked questions on here about crime and immigration in UK on here and received answers saying I should not read the Daily Mail. Does this newspaper in particular make up stories and get away with it, to warrant these automatic answers?

Public Comments

  1. The Daily Mail tends to print the unadulterated truth. This upsets a section of society for various reasons. If they fabricated stories they would very quickly lose credibility and readers.
  2. Nearly all newspapers make up and exaggerate stories. Half the time thats what makes it news. But crime and immigration are out of control in the UK so if the Daily Mail said that the paper was not making up stories.
  3. The Daily Mail get's most of it's news from Reuters like all the other papers so it is rooted firmly in fact, it is the type of news topic that they choose to print that upsets people. You will quite often see exactly the same news on the BBC or ITV News within a day or two of seeing it in The Daily Mail and it is the exact same story! Most of the naysayers are Guardian readers, the Guardian is left wing biased the Mail is more to the right!
  4. Its de rigeur for left wingers to ridicule the Daily Mail and its readership but why is it the first paper to sell out every day? They don't invent stories. They report the news as they see it, without putting a politically correct slant on everything.
  5. nope it would be reported to the press standards authority if it made up stories. the politically correct hate the paper because it tells the truth on issues the loony left would rather not have aired. Immigrant families in £8000 a month houses and such like.. 'half wits and nazis' the readership is around 5 million people in the UK "halfwits and nazis" wonder who is the real fucking halfwit nazi around here?
  6. They don't tell many (if any) outright lies, but they certainly exaggerate a lot and try to pretend exceptional cases are the norm if it suits their agenda.
  7. It is and always has been 99% fiction aimed at halfwits and nazis.
  8. Watch the documentary StarSucker's, you'd be SO surprised.
  9. "The only thing you can believed in the newspapers is the advertising." As for the Daily Mail, that scurrilous gutter-snipe cavalier rag, it's only use is as a fire starter and that is exactly what it sets out to do and often succeeds because it's regular readers are gullible. The word Newspaper is not applicable to such as the Daily Mail, or any other vile Red Top rag published here in UK under the guise of "a free press." Free to whom? The liars and the cheats and those who would rob the Common people of their dignity. Death to the Tory Press - vile mind gangsters. Pay no attention - I will wake up in a short while and go about my business in a happy manner, having not spent 30 minutes on a train reading the trash rag of nonsense.
  10. The Mail,a very popular paper seems to pick stories of injustice. Like the elderly lady who clipped a huge youths ear being arrested and them let off free. You get the idea. The police who darent say anything to youths whizing on bikes through a town centre, yet tell an elderly man to get off his bike.
  11. It's generally alright and more to the point it is free online if you can stand the celebrity tittle-tattle which is a bit boring.
