How to send an international package?
I need to send a package, consisting of a portable CD player and two t-shirts from the United States to Malawi. The information on the USPS site seems complicated. Do I need to fill out special customs forms to do this? Should I go directly to the post office with my stuff? Would they be able to box it and everything there? Is it a flat rate for the box or by weight? Approximately how much would it cost? Any advice/directions would be helpful. Thank you!

- I really recommend FedEx. I have had packages from USPS disappear or be tampered with (robbed) going from the US to Colombia and Philippines. I only use FedEx now. It is tracked, each stop, so it is easy to track who handled the package. There is no way it can be opened and robbed or stolen. It is expensive, and you will have to fill out the same customs forms as USPS, but it is secure and you can follow it each step of the way. Before sealing an international package, make sure you keep a detailed list of exactly what is in it- for the customs form. Good luck!
- Try Fed Express, UPs or DHL
