Is there a delay with USPS tracking right now?

I shipped an item yesterday at 2:30pm, but there is nothing listed under the tracking information when I go online. All it says is "Electronic shipping info received" but there are no updates after that. Is USPS tracking excessively slow sometimes? I'm worried they lost my package. It's for an ebay buyer and the last thing I need is negative feedback over a USPS problem.

1. That is perfectly normal. You used an electronic option to print a shipping label and assign a Delivery Confirmation number. The number is in the system the moment you create the label. Unless there is a scan event somewhere, there is nothing to update. eDC items are not usually scanned as accepted. When there is something to update, it is done in the evening. You can check again after 10 PM local time to see if there is anything new. Your package is not lost and any Ebay buyer that has been around for a while understands how eDC works. There may not be another scan until the time it is delivered.
