Is there a way that I can receive some help out there?
I feel very despondent and depressed right now. I don't know how to think positive about my situation in life. I'm 26 years old, mentally slow, and work part time at Fedex. I don't make enough to support myself and move out. I wish I could die right now. I feel suicidal often. Life is all about having a career and supporting oneself. I just have a meaningless job. It seems like using my body and lifting boxes is all that I'm good at. I'm not good at postions where I have to think and use my mind. I hate that life continues to go on.

- go to see a psych. dr. ASAP!! if you're having thoughts of suicide? you should see someone & talk about it right away, i don't think you have a meaningless job, someone has to take care of those packages, so that they get safely to where they need to go!! every one is not good @ all things, i could never be a waitress-carrying all those dishes-no way!! good luck to you, hang in there & go see someone as soon as you can get an appt.
- Antonio, Usually in every county there is a mental Health hot line that can tell you where to turn next, You really need to be on a antidepressant it sounds like ,I know how you feel I am on the medication and it really helped me. Go As soon as possible. Life is worth living, if You have God in ur life there's always hope. Good Luck
- Each of us should pay our own way in life as well as we can. It sounds to me like you are doing far more than many others with your condition. Working at Fedex is a better job than most mentally slow people can manage, so don't be so hard on yourself. At least you are capable of working and of living alone. For now you can help out whoever you're living with. And be grateful you have a job, millions are unemployed that are perfectly healthy, millions are losing their homes as I type this, millions in other countries never had a home, millions will die by the end of the week. In my opinion, life is not all about a career, it's about being good to one another while we're here and while we can. I had a great career, the home, money, marriage - and learned none of that was the most important thing in life. The grass always looks greener on the other side of the fence. Having all that means sacrificing everything else, like family and love and time to enjoy it.
