US Postal Service and US Customs?

I recently ordered some clothes from China. Yesterday, my tracking page on the Chinese shipping website was updated with a USPS tracking number. When I entered it on usps.com, it said this message: "The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on July 08, 2011 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later." Now my question is has it passed through customs already? Or will I have to wait a few days extra to allow it to go through customs?
