Postal Letter

Can you sue the Post Office if, your mailman signs your certified letter and put it in the mailbox?

I did not sign for a certified mail. The mailman signed it and put it in my mailbox and I loss my job. Can I sue?

  1. Hmm.. I'm not sure about sue but I think that would mean they falsified their records for the certified letter. You signing it would mean that you are saying you received it and they keep it on file.. I think! I'd call and as WTF their prob is and see what they have to say for it as far as it being the reason you lost your job I don't see how that'd happen. You signing it just means you gt it and if it was in your mail then obviously you did get it whether your sig was on it or not
  2. How did receiving a certified letter make you lose your job?
  3. I find it extremely improbable that you would have retained your employment had you not received a letter. However, assuming that could be true, one would have to assume it was the contents of the correspondence, and not the physical existence of the paper, which caused the loss. In which case, your problem is with the sender, not the mail carrier. S/he only delivers the mail, which was accomplished. So, no, you would not be successful in your lawsuit.
