What is the latest time usps will deliver a package?

The package says its been out for delivery since 11:09 a.m. it is now 8:19 p.m. so my question is what is the latest time that usps will deliver a package or should i expect it the next day, the problem being I have college and can't be here all day to receive package.

1. I normally would answer by 5 PM, but with the new readjusted routes they've given us, where 22 carriers now cover the territory covered by 27 just a few weeks ago...we had guys out until 8:30 this past Monday, the heaviest day of the week. If they ever get rid of Saturdays, we could be out until 10 PM on Mondays. If you have important things that you can't wait around for, do what the rest of us do and rent a PO Box. Mine costs 20 cents a day.
