Postal Letter

What kinds of jobs can one look into if they only had Tempt work at the Post Office & Art Museum Volunteer?

The reason I'm asking is because I am one who has been in college and I took temporary work while I was in school quarter of the time. I did it my last semester of school. I work at the Post Office as a Postal Clerk. I started as a tempt worker. I only lasted for eight months and than I reapplied a year later and I worked for four months. I did not have a job from that year which was 2001 until 2004. I was in school full-time to consentrate on working on my two year degree. I now have my AA degree. I know I have a spotted work history because school and lack of experience. I also went to a four year University for my major in Studio Art. I did not work at all because of it. I had been enroll in school full-time or quarter of the time. I attende it for two more years and when I left it the spring of 2007 I was asked for a job at a Nursery Center and I took it. It only lasted for a few days and I was released. They want someone with a bachelor's degree in child care. I was asked by a godparent (relative) who owned the Nursery. I have been checking for jobs off and on. I have been applying for job on the jobsites such as Snaga Job, Job.com or Indeed.com. I have also put in for applications at department stores and a Art Supply Store like Michael's Arts and Crafts. This past year I volunteered at a Art Museum as a Office Aid labeling envolopes and helping with an Art project. I lasted for two days. I had to called check back with them to find out if they needed me for it or to keep going my last visit but I got "No Word" from the Volunteer manager. It been a year and I have been putting in for jobs online and at the Michael's Arts and Crafts store. I have submitted a resume to a few jobs I found on the Job.com and a Employment Agency my aunt told me about called "Reichard Staffing". She told me about a position as a Control Clerk. I had a resume submitted to them on the site. I have called their number to check to see if they recieve it. When I got the call back from them a lady told me that recieved it and said that the position applied for was not a good fit for me. I just recently I applied to the Art Museum again. I look them up online on their website and found that they are hiring for two positions They were curator and a part-time position as Visitor Service Associate. I applied for Visitor Service Associate. When I called them to ask if they were hiring a lady said that they are in the process of interviewing people. I asked her if they were accepting resumes . She then told me that I could have my application and resume mailed to them. I have done it. It has been two days and "No word" on anything! I guess I would have check back with them on my status on whether they have recieve my application and reesume or not. I have trying to thing of other places to apply but there nothing near by me that are hiring Sometimes I feel kind of sad that I can not seem to find or get a job that I truly like or am interested in now. All the job that may be hiring are only require experience. I have called stores like Family Dollar, Walmart or Sam CLub to find out if they are hiring and accepting application and the answer was we accepting applications but are not hiring. If there were it would be for one position which was Assistant Manager. I have registered and sign up for three Temporary Employment Agencies one I did in person called "Goodwill Job Junction and two more I had to do online. Those were Kelly Services and Randstad Staffing. I got a call from someone at Goodwill Job Junction about how I'm coming with my job search and I would tell I only had one job interview at a job I submitted my resume to online. It was called American Income of North Florida. I never heard back from about anything else about a job. I also applied to Micheal's Distribution Center for job for Material Handler. When I called them about a lady asked if I can make appointment with them for a Open House tour at 9:00 am on a Tuesday or Thursday. I tried to go on a Thursday at 9:00 am. My grandparents had to take me because I do not have my own transportation. We tried to find the place but we had trouble finding it. My grandmother had to called them find out were the Distribution Center was located. We did Not get there in time. IT was a long ways out from where I lived. It was almost like going out of town. I also had to reschedule the appointment. During that morning, my grandmother called my house and told my mom that a lady mention that people may work out of town. My mother told me not to worry about going or forget about it. I not sure what other jobs that are near by where I live that are hiring that I like to apply to. I would not want Nursery or Fast food. I would like something a little different from my past work. I work at Post Office they only hire people when they need them. I like to do a little office aid or gallery assistant I would like to add and respond to this first answer! Yes, I can be quite wordy at times. I have a habit of going into details! Sometimes I have a time expressing how I feel in writing because I allow my feelings to get in the way. I have a time expressing my thoughts on paper or even typing it on the computer to someone. I have not had any computer training in word and excel. I have had plenty of practice on typing or using Microsoft Word and a word processor! I have a relative (aunt) who helps me on how to write a Resume and a cover letter. I am NOT LEARNING IMPAIRED for this reason! I may be somewhat mentally challenged about what to say in a business letter or on a essay paper. I would often ask myself how would I word it?I have taken all of my English Composition, and Communication courses that I needed at the Community College! I finished with my AA degree! The Community College were I used go is no longer a two-year college; but a four- year college now! I would lik I would like to pick up where I left off. I would like to improve on my writting skills a little more. I went to a Visual Art School between semesters from the Community College in Jacksonville,Florida! I have worked as a Art Intern for a couple of months. I have done clerical assistance and helped water the gardens. I have never recieved any sales training when I was in school as a Art major. I was attending at the School of Visual Arts majoring in Illustration. I was only there for two years. I previously attended at the University of North Florida majoring in Studio Art. I was working on a BA rather than the BFA. I have NOT had any sales experience! I do not plan to Sale any paintings. I do plan to build up or submit samples of my artwork to a Art website(online). I would also like to include that I'm NOT developmentally disabled!!!! I may be slightly mentally challenge to some degree. You DO NOT know me!.. I have a relative(aunt) who helps and reminds me of how to do a res

  1. I can see what a few of your problems are right now. First, your English skills are lacking quite a bit. Even if English isn't your first language, if you are applying someplace where English is the main language spoken and written, you aren't cutting the mustard. I'm not talking about typos - I'm talking about using incorrect words, poor sentence structures, and holy crap, you are quite verbose. If you can get in with a job agency, TAKE THEIR FREE CLASSES and have them help you write a resume, cover letter, and help them get you trained on the computer for word and excel. If you keep getting fired after two or three days, something is very off putting about you and you need someone to be honest with you about what it is. You will NOT find work in any kind of nicer art gallery. To do so, even with an Art major, you need sales experience and upscale interpersonal skills. Perhaps what would help would be to go back to your community college and take a bunch of English, communication, and composition classes. If you are mentally challenged or learning impaired, then find someone who can help you. Goodwill is good for this and there are loads and loads of charities who help place developmentally disabled people in decent jobs. I know that we have several mentally challenged folks collecting carts at our local grocery store, Target, and WalMart (or so I hear, I don't shop at WalMart).
