Postal Letter

Canadians: When entering a Postal Code into a web form, does it usually care if the letters are capitals?

I am from the US, but I am writing a web form for Canadian users. When I am checking that their Postal Code is in the correct format, should I force them to use capitals (is that the standard?), or do people typically use lower-case letters (in which case I should allow both)? Thanks! Hmm. Why no space? Do the forms usually take it with or without the space? Thanks again!

  1. it usually doesnt matter, as long as you type in the correct postal code. because when i sign up for anything and i type it in lowercase, it doesn't matter.
  2. *EDIT** Uhm, lots of the forms i fill in want no space. And i know when i send mail for work i dont use a space.. Doesnt matter. I prefer writing in the format: v8p0s4 Just cause i find it easier to read than V8P0S4. Usualy a good thing to do is not allow a space (v8p 0s4 = bad) thats just what i think tho :) i would allow both tho if i were you (but dont let them use a space) Cheers
