- You need to get to an office ASAP - but since it's Saturday night, and then Sunday, and Monday is a holiday, it may be difficult. The clerks hate to do it, but it's called a "recall of mail" form. It would be better if you could do it at your local sort facility - they may be able to stop it there, or at the outbound international sort center. They will not be happy to see you, as it's probably already gone. You may be required to pay for any costs (fax's etc) associated with getting it back. Form 1509 must be submitted to the postmaster at the office of mailing. That's your local office, but I'd try for the sort facility. Do you know where your local one is? You have to be absolutely precise in wring down what the parcel looked like - a small flat rate Priority box with online prepaid postage, and be equally precise about what you want done with it - call you to come get it (leave a phone #), or returned to sender. If you go to the sort facility, you'll need to get to the back dock area - dispatching, and ask for a Supervisor. They will have the information as to the next stop for your parcel. They actually DO try. Good luck.
- You should find the package returned to you Tuesday. The full amount of postage has not been paid so it will be returned for the additional postage.
