Postal Letter

When I use USPS tracking online it says my package is delivered but I never received it?

I ordered something online and was able to track the order. On the USPS site it says that it got to my house on August 31st, but I am 100% sure I have not received anything. What do I do? I tried calling them but it seems like they don't have an option for something like that.

1. Sounds to me like someone may have stolen your parcel from the mailbox or it was misdelivered. Have you called the vendor where you bought the item to confirm that it was addressed properly? As far as the post office, the people answering the 1-800 numbers (listed in the phone directory) aren't post office employees which is why you won't get any help there. What you can do is call that number and asked to be patched through to the post office who delivers to your zip code. From there, ask to speak to someone in charge of lost packages/mis directed mail and give him this information along with the tracking number. The post office can 'trace" the parcel to determine what happened.
