Postal Letter

What usps mailbox should I put my envelope in?

So basically when I go to usps, there are 3 mailboxes, 2 outside, and 1 inside. I went first time to ship and I put my letters with stamp in 1 of the outside boxes. The seller never received the item. Did I do something wrong?

  1. You did nothing wrong. It makes no difference what collection box you use. I really hate to assume anything and don't want to make any disparaging remarks but, how are you sure that the seller didn't receive your letter? Hopefully you did mean a seller that you were sending some form of payment to. Also, hopefully, you did not send cash but rather a Money Order or check of some sort. Something that can be looked into to find if it was cashed. Unfortunately, people can lie and can be dishonest. You also do not mention when you mailed your letter nor where it was coming from and going to. All of these things factor in to the delivery time.
  2. if the box is over 13 ounces they MUST be give to a postal clerk, since else they will return them its also possible you did not put on enough postage,, too bad you did not use delivery confirmation which you could have gotten if you used paypal or gone to the post office
