Public Comments
- 1 year.
- They are purged from the system after 18 months. The permanent address change is valid for forwarding of 1st class mail, and 1st class or higher level service packages, for one year. For an additional six months, anything that can be forwarded is returned to sender with the updated address information. The sender can then correct their records and send the item back out with new postage.
