Is it legal to sell stamps for over the government postal rate?

2. I guess so, I visit the Post Office and use the machine and it does not dispense a penny back!
3. No. ATM machines do it everyday.
4. Yes, assuming that you have somebody who wants to pay more then face value amount, when he could probably buy the same stamps at local post office. Collectors have been buying (and selling) stamps at more than face value for over 150 years. Even the US government has, on occasion, been able to sell stamps at better than face value, . . . . and people buy them.
5. yes...it is, b/c the government decided to stick with that price. to go selling over it would not be a wise move. do YOU want to sell over it? why?

7. if your talking about getting them at a supermarket or something like that, even a banks ATM, yes. there are fees the supermarket/bank have to pay to get you the stamps. you are paying for the convenience of not having to go to the post office. if you dont want to pay more than get them direct at the post office.
8. Stores can charge whatever they want.
9. Yes it is legal. There are collectors stamps and many of them sell for thousands of dollars over the government postal rate. Now you can also make your own stamps with your own picture or any type of tasteful art work or photo and it costs more for those.
