what is the postal code (zip code) for oxford, england?

i need to send a letter to a friend there but she didnt give me the zip code for oxford, england!please help! thanks!

2. It starts OX It will be OX (no) (no) (alpha) (alpha) The letter will almost certainly get to its destination without the post code if the address is more or less correct.
3. Both previous are right. You have to get the address right or the postcode right. But fair dues to UK postmen. They are brilliant [when they are good] If you try www.streetmap.co.uk with the street name entered you can get the first three alphanumerics of the postcode from the map itself
4. Each street in each city or village has it's own post code. So, for example, our friends that live 2 streets away from us have a completely different post code. The others were right, though, about if the address is correct or the first part of the post code is correct, it should get there. The postmen over here are fantastic. If you go to www.royalmail.com, right in the center of the page is a link to the post code finder. You can try that and see if it works.
