How do I make an online USPS label with a flate rate envelope?

I'm trying to make a shipping label online via USPS or paypal. I'm using a flat rate envelope, yet it asks for a weight. What do I do? Does it matter what weight I put in? I don't have a postage scale at home.

1. They still require you to input the weight... Do it, just make sure that you use the scrolldown bar (on paypal) and choose the "flat rate envelope" option after you choose that you are sending it priority.
2. just make sure the flat rate option is chosen and just estimate the weight and put the numbers in. it doesn't really matter what you put. i do this all the time and the mail still goes through.
