Postal Letter

Do I need to pay for postage on a USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Mailing Envelope?

I just printed out a label on USPS.com for a Priority Mail Flat Rate Mailing Envelope for $4.75. Do I still need to put a stamp on it, and for how much?

  1. you shouldn't have to.
  2. If you paid $4.75 online, then no additional postage is needed. I use these regularly.
  3. no if you paid online you shouldnt really need to pay extra cost hope i helped
  4. No. USPS implemented a discounted rate with the May 12th pricing adjustments for Shipping Services where postage is paid online. This is called Commercial Pricing. The one thing that you MUST do though, is use ONLY the specifically designated "Flat Rate Envelope". I will also add, for anyone reading this answer, that there is a slight "catch" to the Commercial Pricing. The "catch" is that you must do the entire transaction online. If you add any other type of postage to any package paid at the Commercial Rate, you lose the discount and full retail price will be due.
