- Postal/mail carriers make pretty good money. Please do Not get sucked into those scams that have one pay 'x' amount of money for a review manual to be able to take the exam for postal carriers. One may be able to obtain a copy from the local library or bookstore. Probably the down side is that one must walk around in all kinds of weather and drive the mail truck even if the roads are slippery. (I would be more concerned with the neighborhood dogs ;) And for general career info: US occupational outlook handbook www.bls.gov/oco and can type into search 'mail carrier' or 'postal carrier'.
- If you have a strong will and a strong back there are many good jobs at the USPS. Letter Carriers and Clerks make upwards of 40k a year and managers make even more. Go to USPS.com and click the Jobs link which will let you look up jobs by skill level and area of the country. FYI Most of the test material is available at the library or bookstore.
