How do I study for a Civil Service test for a postal job?

- check their website to see if they have any study guides
- Buy a old postal exam book and rest it;s a tricky book and get a good seat where you have good light the punch tabs or making spots are sometimes hard to see.
- The local library or bookstore may have a study guide(s). There may be reviews at http://www.amazon.com and just type into search 'postal exam' or such.
- I remember many years ago I applied for a postal job and when they sent me the confirmation letter for the test, they sent me a study guide as well. If you just recently applied, I would wait until that letter arrived and see if they included anything with it. If they didn't then I would check the website to see if they offer anything helpful. Other than that I wouldn't push to much. The test is really about how well you pay attention to detail, read and know your basic math and how fast you are noticing the details, reading and knowing your numbers. Try to answer the questions as best as you can and don't try to finish each section in the time given, because you will not be able to. Just focus on answering the questions that you know as fast as you can and move on to the next one. The passing score is 70 and most people average around 76 so don't feel bad if you pass and 70 is your score. Be on time and don't do anything unless the moderator tells you to. Keep your eyes always on them as they speak. Hope this helps and good luck!
