What is the size of a USPS Large Flat Rate Priority Box?

I need to ship a large package to canada i sold this guy some coins on ebay and have never shipped to canada i figure a flat rate box will be cheaper.

  2. The link will show the dimensions for each of the three specific Flat Rate Boxes. You MUST use one of these boxes to claim the Flat Rate of Postage, and, you may NOT alter the boxes. The boxes must be constructed along the scored fold lines and be able to close securely without excessive bulging. Outside of that, 70 pounds is the limit.
  3. A Large Flat Rate Priority box is 12” x 12” x 5-1/2”. Now, to ship domestically (anywhere in the US) is $12.95. But to send it to Canada is $29.95. You could get a regular Flate Rate box which is 11" X 8.5" X 5.5" and pay $8.95 domestic...$23.00 to Canada. I originally found this out the hard way because I figured, flat rate to Canada, it's the same. No...it's $10 more. You can use the same boxes, they're just going to charge you an "international" flate rate.
