Will the postal mail forward me a $250 gift card to France ?

I set up temporary forward mail from Miami to France for 5 months. It works well. But I just won a $250 Target gift card, which will be sent out through Postal mail (it's what the sender wrote me). Do you know if it will also be forwarded to France? I'm afraid that they need that I sign something in Miami to receive it. As I said, IT WORKS WELL. USPS do it for free for 6 months maximum. I receive my mail from USA. My question is about something valuable (the $250 gift card).
