Forwarding postal mail...?

Ok, crazy question but, if a friend has died and i want to send a letter to the family but don't know their address and so i send it to my friend's address, will it forward on to the family or where would it go?

1. Well, assuming it's another friend or you can just ask the friend that directly send it to her
2. Unless your friend had already placed a change of address to the Post Office prior to passing, it would still go to her mail. If family is picking up their mail, they may get it. If the not and the PO knows she passed it could be returned to you. Good Luck and sorry about your friend. PS: Try a search or ask other friends.
