Postal Letter

I moved and I want all these ads-propaganda-marketing material to go to my new address and not to my old?

I moved and I want all these ads-propaganda-marketing material to go to my new address and not to my old address anymore. I already have the postal service forwarding all of my mail but it doesn't catch all of the junk / propaganda / advertisements / circulars. I do not really care or want them but I do NOT want the new person living in my old address to see my business and my name etc..etc.. What is the best way to stop this?

  1. I work for the postal service. There is not much that you can do about the bulk business mail. They will find you at your new address soon enough. The other "or current resident" mail must be delivered to the old address. Sorry.
  2. If you have copies of old circulars or mailers that these companies have sent you, you could sit down, type up a generic form letter, print up a bunch of copies of it and send it to all of their addresses on their junk mail, informing them of your new address. Chances are, they will be delighted to start sending it to you instead of the innocent victim living at your previous address.
  3. Condor is right on the money.
