does anybody know what would be a fair price for old, unmarked postal stamps?
my dad found some really old stamps and wants to know how much they are worth because he wants to sell them. date: starting in 1940 ending in 1976 stamps priced at: 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 10, 20 cents worth (randomly) phace value(value of the stamps all together): $250 -great shape -they are in sheets of paper

- u can go to www.ebay.com put that in the search bar all catagorys,,u will prob find what they are going for there,,,this is my best advice,,if ur not satisfied then go to reg serch on line,,put in the year of stamps and of course value of them,,,hope this helps,,,ebay is very good as they have many sellers and buyers willing to pay big bucks for many things,,,,so check there first,, gl///
- If these are full panes of commemorative stamps, they may unfortunately be worth little more than face value. Best way to find out would be to contact a stamp dealer; the web site below is a link to the American Philatelic Society (stamp collectors club), whose dealers abide by a strict code of ethical conduct, so you know you're not going to get cheated. Ebay may be a possibility, but don't expect too much because many of these may be pretty common. Third option: see if you can find a stamp club near where you live -- members may be interested in buying these from you. The APS web site also has links to affiliated clubs all over the US.
