Postal Letter

Do postal stamps get invalid?

On the bottom of the stamp you usually always see the year like "2008" etc. But mine says 2006, will it still be valid if i send it to my destination?

  1. You can use a stamp so long as it has not been canceled with a postmark. and so long as you adjust to the proper postage if it no longer is right.
  2. You will just need to put more stamps on the letter. It costs 42 cents to send a first class letter now , so as long as it adds up to 42 cents your OK ;))))
  3. All stamps but one issued by the United States since 1861 are still valid for postage. (The exception is a 10-cent Christmas stamp from 1974.) You just have to have enough stamps to add up to the current rate, which now is 42 cents.
