Currently the postal service is in the process of what they call national reassessment process--or out-placement. Which is really where they no longer offer the injured employees jobs or take their current modified jobs away. In doing so--they turn us back to the Department of Labor for rehab. Which really only (according to the Department of Labor) gives us 90 days to "learn how to do a resume, learn how to conduct an interview and FIND a job in the real world and then we are terminated--yes I did say terminated from our jobs with the postal service. With all loss of benefits. Now, my question --is just how legal is this?? We have actually given our bodies and years of our lives for this job and we are treated like this? I have been told that I am not even closely able to retire under any type of disability--that was by the Department of Labor. My injury is a permanent back injury and my doctor states that I do have permanent restrictions. So, help will be appreciate
