Why does the USPS zip code finder page have a square to enter a zip code?
No, it does not give a reverse lookup for a zip code or any other information about a zip code!

- Suppose you know the zip code but not the city or town it is in. Type that into the box and presto! You got the place you need.
- because sometimes you want the ZIP + 4 not just the ZIP - and typing 5 numbers is easier than spelling Iandianapolis
- Probably because it does reverse lookups as well. In other words, you can determine location from a zip code.
- Well, it's also a post office locator, which I use a lot :-) If you put only a zip, it will show you the nearest post offices for that zip code.
