Does the US postal service test for nicotine/cotinine in their pre-employment drug test?

Can they deny employment if I am a smoker?

1. I have never heard that they test for cotinine.I have however, never seen a smoking mail man either. I know this isnt too helpful. i would call the HR department if you are going to be testing with them soon and find out exactly what you will be tested for. You dont have to give your name. Im sure they hire hundreds of people each month. My employer does cotinine tests and yes they deny employment and fire people if they test positive!
