Postal Letter

Can someone tell me how to get a job with the US Postal Service?

How can I get a job there, what do they require, do you have to have a degree to get a PostMaster Position and how much do they pay for southern states such as Kentucky, Georgia and Tennessee? Thanks

  1. getting in with the post office is an excellent career with good pay and good benefits. why dont you visit usps.com and look for a careers section. you usually dont need a degree but military service helps. you also have to pass a test to get in. good luck.
  2. if they are accepting applications you can pick one up at your local branch////also get the book " How to get a job at the post office" It helps prepare you for the test!!! I got a 97.8 on my exam because of that book! Good luck.
  3. no, a degree is needed. But for their exam alot of studying is required. they do the test evert 5 to 10 yrs. u can get study materials from the library or buy the newest material from the bookstore. the books give u pretest & stuff. Start studying now if ur really serious about this thing; it really prepares u. I passed it (82) but, they call u based on scores. & they give extra points for veteran status, military background /diff. stuff like that...
  4. You can check on line at USPS.com for test being given in your local area. The test open to the public are usally entry level positions. They promote from within mostly. No degree is required if you are from the inside. A recommendation from your postmaster and a good score on an a test is required though. They now take people from the outside for their CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGEMENT Training program. I believe you must have some type of management experience to come in from the outside. Check with you local hiring district office... ask your mail person where your district office is.
