how long does it take for something from maine to ship to california?

i bought something on ebay, which was shipped on monday. it is now saturday, and i havent recieved the item yet. the reason why am in such a rush is because i am leaving soon and need the item. when do you think it will arrive? it was shipped nearly a week ago. how long does it take to ship something from maine to California? p.s. it was shipped by US Postal Service Parcel Post® thankyou so much

1. Depends which level of service they sent it on USPS. If they sent it Media Mail it could take 8-10 days. Don't forget that USPS does not work on Sundays.Parcel post can take 8 days and Priority can take 2-3 days. Ask the sender which level they sent it and then go to USPS.com and enter the specs and see when it should arrive. It might be held up in shipping due to the flooding in the midwest if it was sent by ground. If you really want to track packages better use Fedex, UPS, or DHL as they have real time tracking. USPS only will tell you when it was delivered.
