How long does it take a letter to be mailed from one zip code to the next?

Is there any website or way to find out how long a letter takes to be mailed standard usps from one zip code to the next? I know there are variables and all......The letter would be from 95242 to 95831. Thanks!

1. try www.usps.com site and it should tell you but I would say about 3 days
2. Usually 3 days but since they are so close I would say it would probably get there in two days.

You helped because you gave both zip codes--since they are both 95 area codes, and you are not mailing over a holiday, the longest it should take is 2 days....you can call your local post office and they can advise you....but good luck getting through to them, they are busy sending packages to all the troops.
4. Shouldn't take too long, within state mail is usually pretty quick... usually taking no more than a week to get there... state to state mail varies by how much it weighs and what it is you sent... also the postal service *like UPS and FedEx* you selected affects it...
5. The average transit time between any two given points in the continental US is 2-3 days.
